V INTERNATIONAL ACI/CANMET
CONFERENCE
ON
HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE
STRUCTURES AND MATERIALS

This V ACI/CANMET International Conference will be held in Manaus, Amazônia State - Brazil, on June 18-20, 2008. The first International conference was held in Florianópolis in 1996, the second in Gramado in 1999, the third in Recife in 2002, and the fourth in Olinda in 2005.

These four International Conferences were highly successful events with active participation of practicing engineers, professors, researchers, consultants, contractors, material suppliers, builders and designers from all the world. ACI has published the proceedings of the second, third and fourth Conferences in three Special Publications SP 186, SP 207 and SP 229.

ACI International is actively involved in technology transfer throughout the world and in Brazil through these three past Conferences on High Performance Concrete (HPC). For this fourth international Conference, it was decided to make the title and subject more inclusive by changing it from HPC to “HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE STRUCTURES AND MATERIALS
